Each
winter, an untold number of outdoor, stray, or feral
cats die in the cold and harsh weather conditions.
As temperatures drop below
freezing, a cat's chances of survival
decrease. Even kittens and elderly cats are
at risk in temperatures as high as 45 degrees
Fahrenheit.
There are many ways we
can help protect our furry neighbors this coming winter
-- building shelters, avoiding salt, antifreeze, and
harsh chemicals in areas where you have seen cats
around, or leaving out food for an extra energy boost
are just some things to try!
Whatever you choose,
please pledge to take steps to keep outdoor, stray, and
feral cats safe
today!
