Why do world leaders say there is no money for clean energy, climate change adaptation and decarbonisation? It’s a lie! If billionaires paid the same taxes as ordinary people, we could solve most of our environmental problems! Economists are calling on governments to tax the mega-rich, and our support is needed to make this happen. Add your voice now and share widely: Dear friends, If Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg paid taxes like an average person, we could be on our way to solving our most urgent planetary nightmares. But they are not!For over a decade, country leaders have failed to give the money needed to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees and all that is required for climate change adaptation, decarbonization, and empowerment of indigenous communities.The money exists; it's just in the wrong pockets. Economists say a tiny tax of up to 5% on billionaires worldwide could instantly raise 1.7 trillion dollars. This could create the revenue we need to heal our planet!If enough of us back his call, he can take this directly into the G20 summit, where leaders of the wealthiest nations can move forward with a plan to tax the billionaires. Add your voice to support this plan, and share widely:

Dear friends,
If Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg paid taxes like an average person, we could be on our way to solving our most urgent planetary nightmares. But they are not!

For over a decade, country leaders have failed to give the money needed to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees and all that is required for climate change adaptation, decarbonization, and empowerment of indigenous communities.

The money exists; it's just in the wrong pockets.

Economists say a tiny tax of up to 5% on billionaires worldwide could instantly raise 1.7 trillion dollars. This could create the revenue we need to heal our planet!

If enough of us back his call, he can take this directly into the G20 summit, where leaders of the wealthiest nations can move forward with a plan to tax the billionaires. Add your voice to support this plan, and share widely:
Let's be clear. We are not talking about raising taxes on family businesses or having the upper-middle-class pay for the green recovery.

We are talking about the mega-richest of the rich. The multi-millionaires and billionaires that are getting wealthier by reinvesting their earnings in bonds, stocks, and assets that are taxed less than hard-earned wages.

89% of billionaire wealth is in G20 countries. It's time for leaders to step up and tax them fairly. The USD 1.7 trillion per year could be used to:

  • Cover part of the funding needed to limit global warming to 1.5°C;
  • Finance projects to ensure that indigenous peoples have what they need to thrive in their lands, a fundamental condition to protect biodiversity;
  • Implement actions for adaptation, which currently needs from 160 billion dollars to 340 billion dollars by 2030 per year;
  • Close the gap between what the world currently invests and effectively needs through 2025 for decarbonization
From Canada to Egypt, our movement is pushing for the protection of at least half of the earth. We need money to win this and this money is available, if the mega-rich paid their fair share. Our voice is needed to make the change we want to see, let’s use it!

With hope and determination,
