Пересылаю Вам просьбу о содействии со стороны Игоря Войновича и его коллег из Бэнквотч.
Как вы уже знаете наиболее активное строительство ГЭС на нашем континенте наблюдается ныне не здесь в Китае а на Балканах. Там сейчас рассматривается до 3000 проектов и работает конвейер инвестиций. Это те же Банки что финансировали и финансируют ГЭС в других странах Евразии, поэтому укоротить их аппетиты в наших лучших интересах, а доклад будет полезен для пересмотра их политики .

Subject: [River Gathering] TODAY: Launch of Hydro Banks in the Balkans publication: please help spread!
The breathtaking rivers of southeast Europe are under threat. International banks are funding a wave of hydropower projects across the region that are damaging pristine rivers, including those in protected areas.
Today Bankwatch is releasing a new report documenting
more than EUR 700 million for projects in the Balkans that would choke dry some
of Europe’s wildest waterways. The report shows that the European Bank for
Reconstruction and Development is the largest known hydro financier in the
Balkans. The bank has funded a total of 61 plants with EUR 126 million, 29 of
which are in protected or internationally recognised, biologically-rich
areas.

silver lining here is that more than a thousand planned hydropower plants have
no financing yet, so much can be done to save the Balkans’ unique rivers, and we
