Vladimir,
Simba is one of
the thousands of lions that have been born in captivity in
South Africa. But, despite what their captors say, these lions
aren't being released into the wild to help boost Africa's
dwindling wild population. Instead, they are part of a
disgusting lion farm industry in which lions are bred only to
be cruelly killed. One exposé showed that in just two days, 54
farm-lions were murdered — making their farmers an obscene
amount of money.
Simba was lucky enough to be
rescued at 11 years old by conservationists, but very few
lions get out alive in this way. In fact, about 12,000 have
been bred in around 200 lion "farms," and most meet gruesome,
bloody ends. Once they're old enough, they're released
into a fenced enclosure where wealthy westerners pay between
$13,000 and $55,000 to shoot them dead. We must fight
to end this horrible practice and save these majestic animals.
Tell South Africa the world is watching and we
demand they end the horrible lion farming industry
now!
Thank you,
