in Kvemo Kartli Region




Georgian Society of Nature Explorers “Orchis” organized meetings in Dmanisi,
Gardabani, Bolnisi, Tetritskaro and Marneuli Municipalities, Kvemo Kartli
Region, where the following specific waste management issues have been
revealed:



*         Shortage of information on plants recycling domestic waste and
possibilities to introduce in Georgia modern recycling technologies for
municipal wastes;

*         Necessity for the implementation of waste separation system at
their sources, need for the introduction of on-site composting by local
farmers, and financial issues linked with these problems;

*         Shortage of information about legislative changes, priorities of
national strategic documents and measures planned in the field of waste
management;
