Ukraine’s reconstruction is a complex process. Beyond the heavy task of rebuilding damaged physical infrastructure, it must also focus on the rule of law, good governance and strengthening the country’s democratic institutions. It should also incorporate environmental reforms and a modernised economy.

Luckily, we can draw valuable lessons from reconstruction efforts of the past, for instance from Georgia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
