*[Enwl-eng] Prescribed burning appeal

Dear friends,
We believe that you remember the grandiose forest fires (Calf Canyon and Hermits Peak Fires) that were started by prescribed burning in New Mexico, USA, in April of this year?
As part of the international campaign against prescribed burns, “Stop the Harmful Forms of Prescribed Burns!”, launched by the Socio-ecological union international in 2019, we made an appeal to the US government about this whole story.
The appeal was sent these days to the US President (Joseph Biden), the US Vice President (Kamala Harris) and to two relevant departments of the US government. All contacts were taken from the White House, Washington website.

The appeal, among other things, contains our recommendations on fighting fires in the United States and what needs to be done in connection with the problem of prescribed burning in US, Europe, Australia, Russia and worldwide.

This is information about the Appeal entitled “The disastrous consequences of the prescribed burning industry in the USA in relation to the wildfire catastrophe (Calf Canyon and Hermits Peak Fires) launched by prescribed burning in New Mexico State in April 2022” which was made within the framework of the public international campaign “Stop the Harmful Forms of Prescribed Burnings!”. This campaign collects information on the negative consequences of the prescribed burning practice around the world and develops international cooperation to stop all harmful forms of prescribed (or controlled) burning in all countries that use this practice.
The appeal was sent on 25-26 July to the President of the United States (Mr. Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.), Vice President of the United States (Madam Kamala Harris), and two departments of the US Government:
The US Department of the Interior (+the following bureaus of the department: National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, Bureau of Reclamation, and Bureau of Land Management);
The US Department of Agriculture (and two agencies of the department: US Forest Service, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service).
In the cover letter, I asked to send the appeal to the chief of the department, as well as to the chiefs of the listed bureaus and agencies. So, probably they all can receive this message.
All contacts were taken from the website of The White House, Washington.
This appeal should be an open letter. Because the information about prescribed burning that it contains is important to all citizens of the USA and other countries.
