Schoolchildren of 54 Public School were Given Trainings on
Waste Management
On January 23, students of Tbilisi Public School
№54 were given an
interactive training whose main theme was waste management
technologies,
practices and challenges. Through the seminar, the students
not only got to
know the importance of waste management, but also learned
about waste
sorting and recycling opportunities. School students and
teachers were also
introduced to the specifics and the guidelines for use of
the waste
separation stand opened near the school.
A waste
separation corner has been up and running since January at Public
School №54
where school personnel, students and their parents can bring
paper, glass,
aluminium and plastic waste.
Trainings were conducted within the
framework of WMTR II program implemented
by CENN with the support of
USAID.
