Community Mobilization Meetings in Keda Municipality



Optimising the Potential of Local Assets for Rural Development

of Keda Municipality



From July 26, 2017 CENN, together with its local partner in Adjara region -
Institute of Democracy, starts active community mobilization meetings in all
64 villages of Keda municipality within the frame of the project Optimising
the Potential of Local Assets for Rural Development of Keda Municipality.



The objective of the community mobilization is to introduce the project -
Optimising the Potential of Local Assets for Rural Development of Keda
Municipality and LEADER approach - a European model for rural development.



The community meetings will bring together different local actors - local
residents, local community groups, farmers, cooperatives, educational
institutions, enterprises, Mtilrala National Park administration, local
authority representatives, cultural and community service providers, women,
vulnerable groups, and young people - to discuss issues of mutual interest
and development needs of their areas.



The project Optimising the Potential of Local Assets for Rural Development
of Keda Municipality is financially supported by the European Union through
ENPARD programme and is being implemented by Caucasus Environmental NGO
Network (CENN) in partnership with the Center for Strategic Research and
Development of Georgia (CSRDG), Institute of Democracy (IoD) and  Austrian
Institute for Regional Studies and Spatial Planning (ÖIR).
