Corporations Have Been Poisoning Us with PFAS Forever Chemicals. Ban These Toxins Now!

Corporations are finally being held accountable for their role in poisoning the public with PFAS, also known as 'forever chemicals.'

In a huge victory for public health and environmental protection, the state of New Jersey sued multiple giant PFAS-producing corporations.  Now, Chemours, DuPont, and Corteva will pay $875 million over the course of 25 years. While this is a great step forward, what we really need is something far more basic: a complete ban on PFAS!

The research is clear: PFAS are incredibly dangerous and linked to horrifying, sometimes even fatal, health problems. Exposure can lead to developing various cancers, contribute to autoimmune diseases and infertility, and precipitate chronic organ problems. Such toxic chemicals have no place on our planet.

The scary part is that most people have already been exposed to PFAS. In fact, the vast majority of Americans even have PFAS in their blood. PFAS are everywhere, from waterproof clothing, to non-stick pans and flame retardants, to even the packaging that our food comes in. It is almost impossible for consumers to avoid these products, and once forever chemicals are in our blood or our watersheds, they're incredibly difficult to get out.

PFAS are still poisoning the public to this day, and these settlements are like a bandaid on a gaping, growing wound. Sign now to demand that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finally ban PFAS for good!
