Dear
Friends,
In less than one week, the whole
world will be coming together to join hands as a
global movement in support of nature.
And
for this World Environment Day on Monday June 5 –
we want you to join us!
There are so many
things you can do to get involved. Click below to
find an event near you or start your own
today. | |
If
there is nothing near you, then you can organize
your own event and upload iton the World
Environment Day website so the whole global
community can see what you’re doing.
Below is a
flavor of the 900 activities already registered
that will be taking place on during 5
June:
- Cadiz,
Spain: Children will map trees across
the city of Tarifa and will assign a child
protector for each tree. The mapping activity
will end with a concert to celebrate that Tarifa
is #WithNature!
- Kiboga,
Uganda: tree planting and clean-ups of
surrounding forests in Kigoma will take place to
try and stop the deforestation of this beautiful
forest in Uganda!
- Foz
do Iguaçu, Brazil: runners will
celebrate nature during the 10th
Marathon and will wear t-shirt of World
Environment Day 2017 to show they are
#WithNature !
