Logging companies are going to wipe out
Sweden's natural forests. If logging continues
at the current rate, Sweden's old-growth
forests will be largely destroyed within two
decades, leaving more than 2,000 endangered
or threatened forest dwelling species without
a home.

Act now to stop the destruction of Sweden's
forests and the wildlife that depend on them.
Sign the Care2 petition today urging the
Swedish Environmental Protection Agency to
protect Sweden's natural forests from logging!

Thousands of plant and animal species depend
on the unique natural forest habitat for survival
because it contains a large amount of dead wood.
But more than half of these forests in Sweden
have been destroyed since the 1950s.

Not only will forest destruction threaten the
survival of thousands of plants and animals, it
may also affect climate change, as the ancient
trees help regulate the earth's temperature.

Only 4% of these valuable forest lands are
under formal protection. Powerful logging
companies are currently pressuring the
Swedish government to stop any new
regulations to protect the forests. The
government needs to hear from us too -
sign the Care2 petition telling the Swedish
Environmental Protection Agency to preserve
Sweden's natural forests today.
