The BRS Secretariat invites you to join the E-waste Challenge MOOC: The First Ever Massive Open Online Course on E-waste

50 Million tonnes of E-waste will be be generated by 2018, out-stripping the capacity of many countries to manage it in an environmentally sound manner   Join the e-waste challenge MOOC to find out more about e-waste, its hazardous substances, how to extract valuable materials in a sound manner, how policies and legislation can play a role to solve the problem and how new technologies can prevent hazards by design. Join the e-waste challenge MOOC: http://www.learning.climate-kic.org/courses/e-waste-mooc     The e-waste challenge MOOC was developed in partnership by the UNEP Secretariat of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology Climate-KIC, the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium and the World Resources Forum.     The course is designed in 5 modules that can be taken following a long pathway of 8 weeks, or a short pathway of 2 weeks.   A UNEP/BRS and Climate KIC certificate will be awarded to those who complete the course. The course is designed to provide two ECTS credits to Graduate and Post graduate students at KU Leuven.
