Hi,
We want to hear from you and others in the WeMove community. We are planning on calling for demonstrations in cities and capitals all over Europe in the week before the European election. We are brainstorming a name and need your help.
Across Europe, far-right and eurosceptic groups are gaining ground. Their populist solutions often undermine openness and tolerance, whether by fueling hate and resentment against refugees, attacking women’s rights or shrinking the space for press freedom and the arts.
The European elections will take place on May 23-26. They will determine the future of the European Union. Eurosceptics and nationalists plan to join forces to win many more seats in the European Parliament and want to see the end of the EU. We need to prevent this from happening!
We are planning to put out a call for demonstrations in big cities and capitals all over Europe a week before the elections to defend the Europe we want to build. A Europe that:
- Defends human rights and protects the most vulnerable among us
- Stands for democracy, diversity and freedom of speech.
- Guarantees social justice and a life free of poverty
- Protects the environment and helps find solutions for the climate crisis
We’re now searching for a title for our call to action and would love to hear from you.
