Bernardini and Maurizio Bolognetti have suspended
their hunger strikes, in relation to the renewal
of the agreement with Radio Radicale, respectively
after 37 and 78 days while Roberto Giachetti, PD
deputy, started A thirst strike at midnight on
Thursday 16 May and Roberto Deriu, councilor of
the Sardinia Region, started A thirst strike at
midnight on Saturday 18 May for the duration of
three days.
About
200 citizens participate in the non-violent
initiative with a few days of hunger strike for
the life of Radio Radicale.

On
Tuesday, Alabama legislators passed a bill banning
abortions with very limited exceptions: "to avoid
a serious health risk to the unborn child's
mother," if the "unborn child has a lethal
anomaly" and if the woman has an ectopic
pregnancy.
This is the most restrictive
abortion legislation in the country, but the state
is not alone in trying to put limits on the
procedure.
Aside from Alabama, multiple states
have passed so-called "heartbeat" bills that ban
abortions after a fetal heartbeat can be detected:
Kentucky, Mississippi, Ohio, Georgia, Arkansas,
Utah, Lowa, and the last bill that prohibits
abortion passed in Missouri on
friday.

United
States President Donald Trump signed an executive
order on Wednesday on Securing the Information and
Communications Technology and Services Supply
Chain, which stops US companies from using
telecommunications equipment made by technology
firms that pose a national security risk. The
Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) of the U.S.
Department of Commerce announced that it will be
adding Huawei and its affiliates to the so-called
Entity List. China's Ministry of Commerce
spokesman Gao Feng told reporters in Beijing:
"China has always stressed that the concept of
national security should not be abused. It should
not be used as a tool to push forward trade
protectionism".
