It’s spring. Flowers are blooming and birds are cooing.
But for the execs and shareholders of the world's
most polluting financial companies, it’s time to hold their Annual
General Meetings - where they celebrate profits and approve
all the bonuses they reaped from funding fossil fuels and exploiting
our people and planet.
What big finance doesn't want you to know is that AGMs are also a
time for demanding corporate change. And this year,
activists all around the world are taking mass action to disrupt
business as usual at these crucial meetings.
Over the years, any progress or breakthrough at these companies
has been won thanks to people power's relentless actions and
presence at AGMs. They have helped hold each company accountable for
their climate destruction and urged them to change tracks.
Vladimir, to meet the urgency of the climate crisis, we need to
unite together and take action to increase the pressure like never
before. We’re starting by holding our own online People’s
Rally, uniting a new cohort of activists to escalate the
pressure during the coming AGM season. Will you join

of climate breakdown and take action against biggest funders and

Through our protests, petitions and online actions, we've seen
companies change internal policies and shareholders pass progressive
resolutions at AGMs.
AGMs are definitely important strategic days in the corporate
calendar, a bit like their “birthday party.” So that’s why we surely
won’t be giving them a break on this day. Surprise,
surprise, here we are.
It's 2022, and we can’t take greenwashing anymore. Fed up with
fine words, we want concrete action, now.

and Indigenous Land Defenders, we are excited to be
supporting an online rally where activists like you, Vladimir, can
come together to learn, share and strategize. There will be stories
from frontline communities, updates from campaigns from across
Europe, breakout spaces to take online action to have our targets
hear our demands and opportunities to organize together for coming
AGMs and actions – online and offline.
This People’s AGM will be our powerful moment to come
together and build the momentum to make real change this spring and
end fossil fuel finance for good.
