webinar "*Women and Energy*" to be held on *Tuesday 9th October*, as part
of our Week of Action.

Women are disproportionately affected by climate change, and often face the
worst impacts of dirty energy and energy scarcity. Despite this, women are
the protagonists in the fight against dirty energy and in the defence of
territories - reclaiming access to natural resources and strengthening
their economic, political and bodily autonomy within our societies.

We will be joined by Abeer from PENGON / FoE-Palestine, who will share the
learnings from PENGON's project "Empowering Women as Sustainable Energy
Leaders". Other speakers to be announced.

To encourage participation from all regions in differing time-zones, we
will be holding two webinars:

*Webinar 1:* Tuesday 9th October at 9am CET (best for eastern time-zones)
*Webinar 2:* Tuesday 9th October at 4pm CET (best for western time-zones)

 El cambio climático afecta desproporcionalmente a las mujeres, que a
menudo sufren además los peores impactos de las energías sucias y la
escasez de energía. No obstante, las mujeres son protagonistas en las
luchas contra las energías sucias y en defensa de los territorios
–reclamando acceso a los bienes naturales y fortaleciendo su autonomía
económica, política y corporal al interior de nuestras sociedades.

Con nosotr@s estará Abeer de PENGON/AT Palestina, quien compartirá las
enseñanzas del proyecto de PENGON sobre “Empoderamiento de las mujeres como
abanderadas de la energía sustentable”. Más adelante anunciaremos otr@s
expositor@s.

Para incentivar que haya participación de todas las regiones que trabajan
en distintas zonas horarias, realizaremos dos seminarios virtuales:

*Seminario virtual 1: *Martes 9 de octubre a las 9am (de Europa central,
que es la mejor opción para las zonas horarias del hemisferio oriental)

*Seminario virtual 2:* Martes 9 de octubre a las 4pm (de Europa central,
que es la mejor opción para las zonas horarias del hemisferio occidental)

Les femmes sont touchées par le changement climatique de façon
disproportionnée, et elles subissent souvent les pires effets de l’énergie
polluante et de la pénurie d’énergie. Malgré cela, les femmes sont les
protagonistes de la lutte contre l’énergie polluante et pour la défense des
territoires ; elles reconquièrent  l’accès aux ressources naturelles et
elles renforcent leur autonomie économique, politique et physique au sein
de nos sociétés.

Abeer, de PENGON /AT Palestine, nous y rejoindra pour faire part des
enseignements tirés du projet de PENGON « L’autonomisation des femmes en
tant que leaders des énergies durables ». D’autres orateurs seront bientôt
annoncés.

Pour faciliter la participation dans toutes les régions malgré les
différents fuseaux horaires, nous avons prévu deux webinaires :

*Webinaire 1 : *Mardi 9 octobre à 9 h CET (heure d’Europe centrale)
convenable pour les zones de l’heure de l’Est.

*Webinaire 2 :* Mardi 9 octobre à 16 h CET (heure d’Europe centrale)
convenable pour les zones de l’heure de l’Ouest.
