Fighting in Ethiopia's Tigray
region has spilled over the border into Eritrea
and risks destabilizing the entire region,
United Nations High Commissioner for Human
Rights Michelle Bachelet says. The Tigray
People's Liberation Front has accused Eritrea of
contributing troops to support Ethiopian forces
moving into Tigray and on Saturday fired three

Road traffic accidents are the
most common cause of death for children and
young people and the global community must work
to develop transport methods that are safe,
sustainable and accessible to everyone, United
Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said
in an address marking World Day of Remembrance
for Road Traffic Victims, which was observed on
Sunday. "(S)ome 3,700 fathers, mothers,
brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, friends and
colleagues are lost on the world's roads every
