მთავრობის მიერ, ადამიანური უსაფრთხოების პროგრამის ფარგლებში დაფინანსებული,
ყვარლის რაიონის სოფელ საბუეს ფერმერთა კოოპერატივის გაუმჯობესების პროექტის
საზეიმო გახსნის ცერემონია. ცერემონიას დაესწრებიან – იაპონიის საგანგებო და
სრულუფლებიანი ელჩის მოვალეობის შემსრულებელი, ბატონი ჰიროკი ტოკუნაგა,
ადგილობრივი მთავრობის წარმომადგენლები და სხვა მაღალი რანგის სტუმრები.

Opening Ceremony of the Project for Improvement of Farmers’ Cooperative in
Sabue Village of Kvareli District within the Framework of

“Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects”

provided by the Government of Japan





At 1 p.m., on April 1, 2013, the Opening Ceremony will be held in Sabue
Village of Kvareli District concerning the Project for Improvement of
Farmers’ Cooperative in Sabue Village of Kvareli District, which has been
implemented within the framework of “Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human
Security Projects” of the Government of Japan. The Ceremony will be
attended by Mr. Hiroki Tokunaga, Charge d'Affaires ad interim,
representatives of local authority and members of related organization.



The Grant Contract of the above-mentioned project was concluded on September
11, 2012 between the Embassy of Japan and Heifer International. The aim of
this project is to improve agricultural environment in Sabue Village by
provision of agricultural machinery and construction of Farmers’ Cooperative
Centre and hanger for the said machinery. It is expected that 300
households in Sabue Village, Shilda Village and Eniseli Village would
benefit from this project. The budget scale of this project is 118,845 USD.



The “Grant Assistance for Grassroots and Human Security Projects” (GGP)
provides assistance to relatively small projects implemented by medical
institutions, as well as NGOs and aims at improving the living standards of
Georgian people. It applies to projects in the field of public health,
education, social protection, environment and poverty reduction. Since
1998, one hundred and twenty-three GGP projects have been financed in
Georgia totaling USD 11,372,911. The size of Japan’s Official Development
Assistance to Georgia has reached over USD 362 million, covering a wide
spectrum of areas such as improvement of economic infrastructure,
agricultural and social sectors, culture and human resource development.



Representatives of Mass Media are invited to participate in the opening
ceremony.
