INDONESIAN MILITARY ‘DEVELOPMENT’ PROGRAM SPREADS FEAR IN WEST PAPUA
Indonesia plans to send more than a thousand soldiers to build 1,500 km of
new roads in the next two years to accelerate ‘development’ in West Papua.
One Papuan leader told Survival, ‘The West Papuans do not need big roads,

SUCCESS! ENXET INDIANS TAKE BACK THEIR LAND
A group of Enxet Indians in western Paraguay have moved back to their
homeland after waiting for almost 20 years by the side of a highway for
their land to be officially returned to them. The Enxet community of
Sawhoyamaxa were thrown off their ancestral territory in 1995 by rancher and
convicted fraudster Heribert Roedel (pictured).
