I was merrily butchering my way through the Neverkeep the other day
when I happened to decapitate a "human alchemyst". Having a handy
Necromancer on standby, I felt it was my duty to raise him from the
grave to learn more of his secrets. All that actually happened was
that I spawned a few errors trying to learn about his job so I had to
potion him to make way for a more useful undead minion.

The point is, does anyone else know anything about Alchemysts? Is it
going to be a new job? Has anyone found out what they do?

Hi,
Alchemists were previously found before in the neverkeep. I believe the explanation was that they were being tested out by Jason Allen, but they ended up not making the final cut as it were. That they show up in the neverkeep was an accident and a lot of speculation has gone around wondering just what it is that  alchemists do. It has now reached the level of the world famous mysterys of the  legend...like who built stonehedge, ist he bermuda triangle real and why does one sock always disappear when they are put in the dryer.
