Can EnterMedia just ingest the metadata for a folder, on say a NAS device, with out uploading the data.  We have a large storage system that I would like to  be able to Catalog without having to duplicate the data.  Small thumb nails and such are no problem.  There is just no way for me to reduplicate 30TB+ of content, plus I have offline storage that I would like to be able to access through the DAM.  I have been looking at the interface but have not been able to figure out how to do this correctly.

THANKS in ADVANCED!!!

Hi There,

EnterMedia can use hot folders to track originals. These folders are
indexed but no files are moved.

The off-line storage just needs to have records created. This can be
done with a spreadsheet import or by scanning the media once, then
once all the thumbnails are created disconnect the media.

I am thinking of doing the same thing approximately. since there is a lot of data and it was previously only really organized by folder structure, how can I translate the folder structure to categories or does it do it autmatically?
