The PG&E Pacific Energy Center is offering a free, specialized training for sales and marketing professionals. The class is on "Selling Efficiency" and is taught by Mark Jewell of Energy Efficiency Funding Group (EEFG). This course focuses on asking better questions and providing better answers, both of which can help drive the sale of energy-efficiency-related products and services in both owner-occupied and income-producing properties. Topics include: questions to ask before you do an energy study and offer recommendations; getting customers to focus on metrics other than simple payback period when deciding which projects to fund; understanding who pays/benefits from efficiency improvements in landlord/tenant settings; learning how to position efficiency as a top priority in an organization's overall green agenda; working with the utility to identify incentive dollars to make your projects more affordable; and, tips and templates for drafting and presenting compelling proposals.

Sustainable Building Advisor Program
This 100-hour professional certificate program is focused on the practical, forward-thinking ways to design, construct and manage buildings that are resource efficient, environmentally responsible, cost effective, and healthy for all occupants. The program features expert instructors, interactive format, hands-on exercises, field trips and an integrated approach with cross-sector-applicability. Earn 100 continuing education credits for your LEED credential, AIA and Build it Green memberships through this USGBC approved Mastery Level Education Provider Program. Note: this fee-based program is offered through the Bay Area Sustainable Building Advisor Program. The course will begin on June 1, 2012. The early registration rate tuition of $1935 is available before May 1, 2012.
