In this thread John Harrop reported the entering ; or #! hangs the
REPL in enclojure:

I was able to reproduce the condition myself. I'm running Netbeans
6.7 on XP.

Okay, just noticed something else. After pressing enter, entering two
or more r-parens will un-freeze the REPL.
user=>; press enter
))
nil
user=>
Weird.
