I have a Samsung Galaxy 7plus and a trying to run VGBA. I am able to
open a Rom and play the rom but the software doesnt not allow me to
freeze or freeze upon exit. Secondly, even though it says it saves
using the in game menus, when I open the game again, it does not show
any saved files.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

1) What game?
2) In which folder is it located?
3) How much free space do you have in that folder?
4) What do you do to exit?
5) Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling VGBA?

1. I have tried multiple Pokemon games (fire, ruby, emerald) as well
as Sonic Adventures 2.
2. Each rom is in its own folder at extstorage/sdcard/roms
3. It is a 2 gb sdcard and only has the roms on it.
4. I exit with the back button on my screen.
5. I have had the issue from my install and updated a couple times.

Thanks for the assistance.

How much free space do you have in /extstorage/sdcard ?

After you exit a game, do you see screenshots in the file selection
screen?

I have 1.77 gb available on the sdcard.

I do not see screenshots in the selection screen.

I think I know what is going on. For some reason, your device does not
allow writing to the SD card. I will try fixing it for the next
release.

Here is your problem, Jason:

http://www.xda-developers.com/android/android-3-2-code-inadvertently-preventing-write-access-to-external-storage/

It appears to be a bug in Android 3.2+ that makes *external* (but not
internal) SD cards unwritable by third party applications. The
apparent fix is to root your device and fiddle with config files. But
I would simply suggest to keep your data on the internal storage.

Thanks, I moved the files to the internal storage and now it works
great.

Thanks again.
