Thanks for joining the group, and for agreeing to participate in our event. Brady and I are still putting everything together, but it's all coming along nicely. We've had some great responses from speakers we've invited, and I'm eager to get the word out to the technical community at large.
Here's a big way you can help out. We're still waiting on responses from a handful of potential speakers/participants. You know how email is: things get lost in the spam folder, or ignored, or whatnot. If you know any of the following folks, please reach out to them and point them at this group, or at our new website (still under construction), http://emerginglangs.com/.
Language designers we're trying to reach, in no particular order:
- Tony Arcieri (Reia) - Wolfgang De Meuter (AmbientTalk) - Jeff Prothero (Mythryl) - Giancarlo Niccolai (Falcon) - Robert Virding (Lisp Flavored Erlang) - Steve Folta (Trylon) - Alex Eagle (Noop) - Luke Hoban (F#) - Rich Hickey (Clojure) - Guy L. Steele Jr. (Fortress) - Slava Pestov (Factor) - Carl Sassenrath (REBOL) - Arthur Whitney (K, Kdb, Q) - John Nowak (5th, etc.) - Christopher Bertels (Fancy)

I've heard Slava is unavailable for Factor, but I'd be happy to give a presentation about it. I've been using Factor since 2005, and have worked on the design and implementation of the standard library and several language features, as well as compiler improvements. I've written some about what I've worked on at http://useless-factor.blogspot.com/. I'd be really interested in talking about how Factor does metaprogramming in a way that's compatible with an ahead-of-time optimizing compiler, and also how Factor makes stack-based programming practical for modern needs.

Have you considered inviting Matthew Flatt, the creator of PLT Scheme [1]? He has a lot of neat things to say about writing languages for writing more languages [2], as well as a lot of other interesting ideas.

A lot of interesting people appear to have been invited. I note one name missing I'd also like to show up: Mike Pall. While he's not a language designer, he's done an impressive job with LuaJIT2; I think he'd be of interest to anyone implementing a language.
How about Mark Miller? Designer of E, which is not intended for broad use, but also the mastermind behind the security enhancements in the latest javascript standard that have made it capability-secure...

Essentially, you don't need the permission of us organizers to point someone towards our event. We're nearing the limit of the number of speakers we can admit, but we'd love to see more people in attendance who want to participate in the freeform afternoon sessions.

I don't have any contact info for Audrey, just making a suggestion for now or future...
