Hi Thierry, 

I am not sure why helm-ls-git is so much slower than helm-git. Is there anything I can do to help improve it ? 

It takes about 4 seconds on an mac pro laptop to get the 'pattern:' prompt. on the linux kernel source. 

for the mean time I'm switching back to helm-git.

No thanks, the code is the same than in helm-git.

I guess it is because helm-ls-git have two sources,(ls and status)
it is tested on the Jenkins repo which is huge
(bigger than Linux kernel source I think) and it is really usable there,
after first load, it popup immediately.
