Invalid byte code in helm-adaptative.elc

make seems to compile my helm files correctly, but I get the following error when e.g. closing emacs:
Invalid byte code in /path/to/helm/helm-adaptative.elc

This is with the most recent helm version:

$ git log -1
commit 362f25587b39effeb0185571bc447c08d37199f3
Author: XX <XX...@gmail.com> Mon Jan 7 19:26:28 2013 +0100

    * helm-pkg.el: Update version number.

Any thoughts?

Nevermind! I just realized I had to restart Emacs to re-read the Helm files.
