I couldn't agree more. The "punk rock" bands of the late '70s gave the music industry a kick up the arse, and although I didn't like a lot of the music, it was a refreshing change from the type of bands, like ELP, that were taking years to write anything new.
A lot of those "punk" bands are still recording, touring and bringing out new albums… whereas Greg and ELP have brought out how many albums in the past 30 years? When was the last Greg Lake album?
I too am a lifelong fan of ELP and have followed them for nearly 40 years (since I first bought Brain Salad Surgery for £2.08) but I think Greg needs to keep some of his thoughts to himself and maybe go write and record a new album.
