I imagine you could do this by creating a lightweight group and adding the
recipients as members, then posting something in the group.

Is there a way to access the trac? Any alternative place to file a ticket?
Should I do it on github?

Document it in a new thread here. If you have a patch, a pull request is fine.

Brett is working on upgrading Trac to 1.0 and getting it on more stable hosting.

I updated trac to 1.0 last yesterday, and all was well when I went to
sleep. It didn't seem to survive the night for some reason, so I'll
investigate that today. Sorry for the inconveniences.

Are there still known problems with Trac?  I can access the database but I
can't log in.

I've requested a password reset, but when entering those credentials into
http://trac.elgg.org/login it just repeatedly takes me back to the login
pop-up.

There are still problems. We're simply over capacity for our current
server. I'm waiting to hear back from the OSU OSL about upgrading.

Please email i...@elgg.org with your trac username and email address and
I'll take care of it.
