Welcome to the Egyptian Scripts Working Group. This Group was originally set up to facilitate discussion among participants of the workshop "Script as Material Culture" which was held on Thursday 31 July 2008 at "Egypt at its Origins: The Third International Colloquium on Predynastic and Early Dynastic Egypt" at the British Museum, London.

The post-workshop aim of the Group is to encourage discussion, idea sharing and collaboration among anyone conducting research on the subject of early scripts in the Nile Valley. All are welcome to participate!
