EFBC-Feline Center: January 2012 Update

Thanks for your support of EFBC's Feline Conservation Center!

The new safety railing in the public exhibit area is complete, and the
walkway to Project Tiger is now open. We have a few things left to
finish before tigers move in, but the 3 young Amur leopard cubs will
be in there for a few more weeks before moving to the San Diego Zoo.

The next big improvement project is not an exciting new exhibit, but
it is sorely needed - new public restrooms! Porta-potties and a
dilapidated standalone restroom building just aren't sufficient for
our large group tours and special event nights. We estimate this
project will cost $75,000. If you know of any foundations we can apply
to for grants please send us the details. Also we would like to
acquire fixtures (stalls, toilets, sinks, hand dryers, etc) from
construction projects or closing businesses, if you have any leads
pass them on.

Mark your calendars for 2012 event dates! Twilight Tours will be April
7, June 23, and September 15. Feline Follies will be August 18
(auction items and sponsors accepted year-round). Kids Day is October
20.
