The weather has finally changed, making this a purr-fect time of year to visit the cats in Rosamond! The snow leopards and clouded leopards have both been spending much more time outside lately. We've also been feeding the cats between 2 and 3 pm, which can be exciting to watch.  You can always come visit early, and then go out for lunch or explore the area and return in the afternoon, your admission is good for the whole day. Or of course purchase our affordable yearly membership, which gets you not only free admission but a 10% gift shop discount and free admission to many other small zoos as well. Details on the membership levels and benefits can be found at http://www.wildcatzoo.org/membership.html

Our last special event for 2012 is Kids Day on October 20. For this day only, admission is increased to $10 for adults and $7 for kids, and members do not receive free admission. Many prizes and games for the kids are included in the admission price, but there is an extra charge for the train ride. The educational animal show by Wonders of Wildlife is always a big hit.

Check out our web site and Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/EFBCs-Feline-Conservation-Center/159728104075035) for the latest news - as soon as the tigers arrive in Project Tiger we will post it there - we are working the details on how to transport two adult Malayan tigers from Florida to California. New pictures of the jaguar and fishing cats cubs are also posted there weekly, they are growing fast. Stay tuned for pictures of new arrivals like three male Pallas' cats from a zoo in North Dakota, to be paired with our three females born here in 2005 & 2007.
