Hi all,

Based on the survey, we've set the 1st Energy Efficiency & Conservation Idea Lab meeting! This will be held Friday, April 4th at 1:00-2:30pm at the Haas School of Business in Cheit 335.

This meeting will be an important one to introduce yourself & start the conversation about how we want to shape this group. We will take notes at the meeting and send them out to those who cannot attend. Please come ready to talk about your interests & with ideas of what you want to accomplish with/through this group.  Lunch will not be provided at this meeting, as we're waiting for funding approval.

Tentative Agenda
(ideas/changes welcome)
1. What is an Idea Lab?
2. Who are you? What are you working on and/or excited about?
3. What do we want to accomplish with this group?
4. Next meeting location and food

Best,
Merrian, Sam, Jit

As mentioned today at our 1st meeting, there are pretty good national
numbers on building energy use online.

The building energy data book is a great general source of information
of all type on US buildings. It draws on several data sources to present
as complete a set of information as possible. (Look at the links to
charts on the left side of the screen for some big picture data.)

The Commercial Building Energy Consumption Survey (CBECS), which is
conducted every 4 years provides much of the raw data behind the databook.
