Amazing, she deigned to hold a newsconference in Edmonton, no media rooms
available in Calgary?

Wants a recall rule but won't hold byelections for her latests converts?
Seems to me if you want to cross the floor you should resign and let the
voters decide, I have said the same for federal politicians as well.

Agreed. I vote for a person from a political party that I agree with or
like his/her ideas etc.

Or if you are going to cross the floor, sit as an
independent.

That would work too, however I am with Matthew, I voted for someone as part
of a party, not to jump ship when they think things are going bad.

You're right, we do vote for the package--candidate, party
and party leader.

Anyway, it looks like the good ship Stelmach has hit some
pretty rough waters. He may be a nice guy, but he's not the
most inspiring leader on the planet. And that is hurting
the Conservatives IMO.

Part of it comes down on Eddie, but most of it comes down to the party, they
have been in power waaaaayyyyy too long, and have totally lost touch with
Albertans.

The cure however is not another conservative party, especially made up of
recycled PC hack.

Part of the reason the Conservatives have hung on to power
for so long is there hasn't been a meaningful alternative.
The NDP hasn't provided one. The Liberals haven't provided
one.

Maybe the Wild Rose Party is in a position to offer an
alternative--time will tell. Certainly a lot of Albertans
seem to be willing to look at them as an alternative.
