Description: You can have it all in a desert garden, Good Looks, Good Scents, Good Eats with edible landscaping.  If you are a gardener in the desert it makes sustainable sense (water) to have the garden do double-duty--you can enjoy the beauty, then bring it into the kitchen for meals - and do this year round!

 

Excessive Heat Warning starting Tomorrow 
  Dear Folks, The weather service has issued an excessive heat warning beginning Monday, May 21st - temps could go to 110. Take care of yourselves and adjust watering as may be needed for plants, BUT do not go by wilt in the middle of the day, check plants in the early morning. Catherine

Garlic Scape Time! 
  Dear Folks, I am cutting my garlic scapes tonight for the Mesa Farmers Market tomorrow - this is truly a short season specialty item. Usually goes the first day I bring them to the market. 5 for $1 Then in about 2 weeks I will harvest the garlic and they will be dried and ready for sale 1-2 weeks later.... more »

Check our my artichoke and harvesting and my corned beef experiment
