Dear Folks,

I have been way too busy recently and am trying to get settled down
and get more things started for the farmers market.

During that time, though I posted several blogs on serious and fun
things.

Have you ever considered the size of your closets vs. your pantry and
what the decisions in them means?

If you have tried dried kale chips at the market or enjoy dried fruit
or use dried herbs - how about letting the sun do the work for you?

I have just experimented with drying Kale (the blog post is about
that) but I've also dried chard and sorrel leaves. I'm looking
forward to drying my apples, peaches and apricots this year as I did
last year and I have also dried my herbs, even making my own blends -
all at once - by drying selected herbs together, then storing in glass
in the pantry.

Old fashioned pickle barrel pickles, real sauerkraut and other
preserved foods are my current focus of 'experimenting' fun. Both the
sauerkraut and pickles have turned out wonderful.

Be sure to bookmark my blog or subscribe to it. I do 'cross-
pollinate' the info between this irregular newsletter and the blog
frequently, but not always and on the blog I can post pictures :-)

Have a wonderful day!
