Watering guideline and Home Made Bread

Dear Folks,

As we start to move into the warmer weather here is a guideline for
watering mature gardens.

EXCEPTIONS:

If you have or are sowing seeds, you must keep the top soil damp until
you see sprouting - sprinkle each evening/dusk lightly. This in
addition to the standards below for established gardens.

If you have just planted 'plants' I recommend watering every evening
lightly for 5 days, then back off to every 2 days, then every 3 days
until the plants are on your standard watering schedule.


Watering Guideline in the Desert

Here is my rule of thumb for watering mature gardens, everything but
the trees PLEASE REMEMBER this is only a guide, which is why I
strongly urge the use of a moisture meter:

70s water every 5-6 days
80s water every 4-5 days
90s water every 3-4 days
100s water every 2-3 days

Water the trees every 1 - 2 weeks, flooding or measuring a drip system
to ensure a deep watering cycle, where the trees dry out some between
watering.


Home Made Bread.

I consider myself and others do also, a really good cook. But I am a
terrible baker - I think it is because I'm always multi-tasking and
baking is something you really need to pay attention to the detail.

So, I have FINALLY found a bread recipe that works for me - NO
KNEADING, REALLY - and is easy enough to allow me to multi-task. Mix,
let rise, put in oven (with a timer!!) and go about my other chores.
Done, and enjoy fresh warm bread in which I controlled the
ingredients :-)
