Dear all,
It's time for Nodutdol’s 2012 Korea Education and Exposure Program–ROK!
As you know, KEEP-ROK was established in 1994. KEEP aims to:
l Provide firsthand experience of Korean society and of people’s struggles as an inspiration for peace, reunification and anti-imperialist works in North America through KEEP.
l Educate Korean American activists in North America about Korean movement history, the current people’s movement and related social political issues in south and north Korea.
l Recruit, train and empower Korean Americans to fully engage in international and national peace and reunification movements in North America.
l Build and develop relationships with organizations, movements and contacts in south and north Korea.
l Build understanding among the general public and the progressive forces about Korean society and issues to promote work for peace and reunification through report-backs, community teach-ins, and a national peace treaty campaign.
l Contribute to the growth of an international and national movement for peace and reunification in Korea in relation to the larger anti-war and anti-imperialist movements.
This year, the aim of KEEP-ROK is to take those who struggle against militarism to those sites of struggle in south Korea, with a commitment to continue anti-militarism work at home.
If you know of anyone who would benefit from participating in KEEP, please encourage them to apply for the program. The application due date is March 15, 2012. Please see the attachments or please go to: http://nodutdol.org/index.php/KEEP/ to download the application and/or flier. If you have any questions, please contact us at ke...@nodutdol.org .
Thank you.
Best regards,
