User local installation for eclim failed on Linux Mint 12 with Eclipse
3.7.2 build M20120208-0800
When attempting to install eclim to my user local eclipse directory, I
was not able to find eclim in Window->Show View->Other. So I attempted
to install it to the Eclipse home, then it worked.
Not sure if this is a bug, but would like some help determining how to
proceed so that others do not have this problem in the future.

It could be a case of eclim being installed into the wrong eclipse
local dir. Unfortunately it's difficult for the installer to validate
that location. I do have a couple different ideas on how to remedy the
situation though, so hopefully I can get that into one of the next
couple releases.
