Hi,

Love eclim. Thanks for all the great work.

Recently started coding in javascript, and it seems like us javascript coders are the poor cousins.

Any plans to get more sophisticated javascript features, perhaps by integration with an eclipse plugin like vjet?

Kind regards,

Rehan

I'd love to get some real javascript support into eclim (getting rid
of jsl for validation to start with). Part of the reason that hasn't
happened yet is that I haven't found a good javascript plugin to
integrate with since the jsdt is hardly useful for practical web
development and aptana has been more trouble than it's worth the
couple of times I've installed it, immediately regretting infecting
eclipse with it and then having to reinstall eclipse to truly
eradicate it.

However, vjet has been on my list to checkout for some time now and I
now see that they have a proposal to become a part of the Eclipse Web
Tools Platform (WTP) which is a huge plus for me since I greatly
prefer to integrate with eclipse.org plugins that are all apart of the
same release cycle and have typically good coding standards. So, I'll
definitely move that up on my todo list, but it's probably still going
to be some time before I get to it. Contribution are welcome of
course!
