For those that don't know, services like TinyURL (there are several)
allow you to shorten web addresses so that they can work more
consistently in email messages, discussion forums, etc.

Thanks for the heads up -- I'd like to check it out.  Just curious -- why the nervousness?  Info on non-school servers?

So... just to note, this is the second time by a different person that
I've been called Connie. I'm flattered, and I hope Connie isn't
offended!

The nervousness is yes, info on servers outside the district. I'm not
fussed, in fact would encourage, curriculum materials available
openly. But it's a fine line for some to when confidential info
(report card comments, for example) finds its way outside. I can see
the convenience for team teachers working on informal assessments
together that they can access anytime, anywhere. That would be a
great application - so we need to work faster on providing that
functionality in-house.
