ECHS SPEECH & DEBATE TEAM TOURNAMENT NEWS!

On Saturday, May 12th, ten members of ECHS's Speech & Debate Team competed in the Analy High School Novice Championships in Sebastapol.

Congratulations go out to:

Maya Garriga who won 1st Place in Humorous Interpretation!!!!

Andre Monk, who won 3rd Place in Original Interpretation!!!!

Margaret Spencer, who came away with a 3-1 record in Lincoln Douglas Debate!!!!

Great efforts were also put forth by: Chris MacMaster, Phineas Crisp, Will Bell, Natalie Meacham, Chris Mills, Kevin Mahoney and Sean Martin!!!!

Thanks go out to our coaches: Darrell Kinney, Sadaf Zahoor-Kinney, Zeid Khan and AnnMarie Darrow Baines!

While this year's competitive season is drawing to a close, the team is gearing up for its 4th Annual Summer Debate Institute! Registration is open for new and experienced debaters in grades 8-12. Registration form is attached.
