STANFORD - College Admissions Consulting for Jr. Black Males (Free!!) Deadline 5/8/13

I want to let you know about an incredible mentorship opportunity for your 11th grade students.  The Phoenix Scholars is a FREE program that helps minority, low-income, and first-generation students apply to college and win scholarships.  The program matches high school juniors throughout California with Stanford undergraduate students, who then help the high school students with every aspect of the college application process. Over the past four years we have worked with over 500 students and 100% of them have been accepted to at least one college.  

 

This is a program I started while in college and we have very few black males that applied this year for some reason.   Please have all your students who qualify (3.0 GPA) apply- we want to make sure we are serving black males.
