Hey All,

Another ECCC cyclocross weekend is in the books after some "lively" racing took place over the weekend at the Ice Weasels Cometh in Wrentham, MA.  The days action was hot with all the major teams in attendance for the day.

In Men's A MIT and RIT both had strong showings, but Chris Mondiek took the victory for the Rochester Institute of Technology, with Andrew Lysaght taking second and Peter Hagerty taking third. Hagerty still does hold a strong lead in the season overall Meanwhile, teammates Christina Birch and Laura Ralston from MIT duked it out in Women's A with Birch coming out the victor, taking the Women's A overall lead in the process.

At the end of the day thanks to a strong turnout to MIT took the Team Overall for the day, Rutgers took second with some riders in the lower category races making the drive up from New Jersey and RIT took third.

Going into the final weekend of the season Rutgers has a commanding lead of the team overall for the season while RIT holds steady in second and the Division 2 lead, while MIT is chasing them down. Should be interesting if MIT can pull out all the stops this coming weekend and challenge RIT for the Division two title.

The ECCC season draws to a close this weekend with the New England Regional Championships in Fitchburg MA this Sunday where all the points are worth double!

The overall standings, and registration link for this weekend over on the ECCC Calendar page [1].
