Hi guys!
I am pleased to announce the release of ec2debian-build-ami v. 1.0
This release includes a plugin architecture so others can write plugins
that tie directly into the bootstrapping process.
There are a lot of bug fixes and new features in this release.
Go check it out at https://github.com/andsens/ec2debian-build-ami
You might also want to have a look at PLUGINS.md<https://github.com/andsens/ec2debian-build-ami/blob/master/PLUGINS.md>.
Right now there is only one plugin (written by me as well), which allows
you to update a Route 53 record to point to the instance this script is run
on. It is integrate with the boot process and reads the hostname from the
`hostname` tag in ec2.
So if anyone has any cool suggestions for plugins, don't hesitate to
contact me with the idea or a link to the finished plugin (I will link to
it).
p.s.: I need some feedback on this issue<https://github.com/andsens/ec2debian-build-ami/issues/19>.
It's about what standard packages should be included in a normal squeeze
AMI.
