Question about swf option of easyXDM

Will the consumers and providers still be able to talk to each other if each is pointing to their own swf? I'm having an issue in IE7 where this is not the case.
consumer = new easyXDM.Socket({remote: url to provider, swf: url to consumer's swf})
provider = new easyXDM.Socket({swf: url to provider's swf})
Can anyone clarify? Thanks.

No, the security builds on a trust model, and that is enforced by the swf's being from the same domain.
