Go/Plus Migration to BGC

The following are some details about the Go/Plus migrations to belgacom
to try and stop the ongoing rumours:
Easynet will indeed stop it's adsl activities, but ONLY the wholesale/residential
products (GO/PLUS) products as Easynet decided to focus since a certain time on
Business and corporate solutions.
It was/is perfectly legal and authorized for Easynet to resel it's GO/PLUS accounts
as specified in the contracts.
The _official_ communication about this will be made by Belgacom and should be
recieved by 04/05/2006.
You are linked by 1 Easynet contract:
- Email
* Pop3 accounts will remain available and the email addresses will be forwarded to a
@skynet.be address and this for a period of 4 months
* The smtp server (for outgoing mail) will not be accessible anymore from a Belgacom
IP. You will have to use the proper outgoing mailserver relay.skynet.be instead of
smtp.easynet.be.
- The free webhostings ( www.<login>.easynet.be )
* Websites will be transferred to belgacom infrastructure, url will change (eg:
users.skynet.be/<user> )
* Quota for the webhostings @ Belgacom is 50Mb ( so you will have a 30Mb bonus )
* Our servers will remain accessible through ftp (in read-only) during a period of 4
months)
Understand that all this information is to stop rumours and guesses and the only
official intormation will be given officially by Belgacom during the comming days.

Can I refuse it. On time then. I don't want to pay 1 month for something I
don't want.
Does the letter say something about this?
BTW:
Nobody has receive a letter in the dutch thread about this subject.
So we don't know anything for sure about it.

Ik ben benieuwd of we 1 maand opzeg of 3 gaan hebben bij belgacom.
Ik denk dat we gezien deze informatie zoiezo een maand aan skynet zullen
moeten betalen.

Vanaf de officiele mededeling van belgacom beheren zij volledig de dossiers en kan je
bij hen terrecht om bijkomende informatie in die genre. aangezien zij de diensten blijven
verderleveren waar je gebruik kan van maken zal dit voor belgacom een nieuw
contract worden.
Maar voor die informatie ben je best naar belgacom te bellen.

Kan zijn, ik ben niet zo thuis in al die juridische termen. Ik heb

gedownload en daarin staat:
| b. EASYNET is er steeds toe gerechtigd het contract, en/of
| daarinvermelde rechten en/of plichten en/of voortvloeiende vorderingen,
| vergoedingen, met in begrip van alle aanhorigheden, geheel of
| gedeeltelijk, alsmede de eigendom van betreffende goederen, aan een
| derde over te dragen of in pand te geven. De klant erkent en
| aanvaardt dat deze derde desgevallend de overgedragen
| rechten en/of plichten en/of vorderingen van EASYNET ten opzichte
| van de klant kan uitoefenen en verbindt zich ertoe om op het
| eerste verzoek van EASYNET ieder document te ondertekenen
| dat vereist is voor de juridische en administratieve
| regularisatie van de overdracht, die hem desgevallend
| eenvoudigweg bij aangetekend schrijven kan betekend worden.
Is het dit puntje waar je naar verwijst?
Nu ja, zelfs als het wettelijk gezien allemaal in orde is, vind ik het
toch een spijtige zaak dat easynet het op deze manier heeft aangepakt.
Dit had toch op een klant-vriendelijkere manier opgelost kunnen worden?
