We got done from several days on the Mono Lake Islands counting gulls (20,023 nests by the way, still below the long-term average, but better than the last couple dismal years).
I busted up the slope behind LV, and even mid-day the Black-chinned Sparrow Nora found was still singing away, with the din of Brewer's Sparrows.
Also, a Lawrence's Goldfinch flew over - another rare, black faced bird for Mono County. Only the 3rd spring record for the Mono Basin, the second of the year (they are/were apparently having a good spring in parts of CA this year).
