Birchim Canyon was hopp'in this morning, maybe the big winds of yesterday
blew some birds in. Andy Zdon, Jim and I enjoyed seeing many Lazuli Buntings,
our First of spring willow flycatcher which was down along the creek by the far
gate, Black-headed grosbeaks, warbling Vireos and 10 Western Tanagers along the
other migrants that have been in there. We had a vireo we couldn't quite call a
Cassin's, it had very pale lores instead of distinct spectacles. It was down
with the Willow fly. One Townsend's and a few Black-throated Grays too. Also,
Western Wood-pewees & Olive-sided Flycatcher. Good Birding, Debby and
